4 Foods to Eat This Summer to Stimulate your Chakras

I’m a heavy believer in keeping my body, mind, and spirit balanced. To do this, I focus on balancing my chakras.  Chakras are the 7 main energy sources that run along your spine. When your chakras are aligned, you find yourself at peace, your body feels good and functions in a healthy way, and your life feels whole and meaningful. When your energy centers are off balance, this can create sickness, extreme emotions, loss of control, and more.

One way to stimulate underactive chakras is by eating certain nutritious foods. Different foods contain different vitamins, and affect your body in different ways. If you feel your chakra is underactive, eat some of these guys listed. If it is overactive, avoid them!

Mint:

I’m not talking about mint ice cream… I mean the plant. Slice some up and put it in a salad, or make some tea.

MINTMint stimulates your Solar Plexus Chakra

If you see yourself as powerless, feel nervous about the future, feel insecure, or have digestive problems, your solar plexus might be out of whack!

Mint helps with digestion, which is something that the Solar Plexus Chakra rules over.  Your Solar Plexus Chakra sits right over where your stomach is located.

Plus, freshly crushed mint leaves can help you deal with nausea and headache, and even depression.  Mint is a natural stimulant, and the smell itself can get your brain functioning on a high level. If you are feeling anxious, exhausted, or slow, mint could help!

Lemon:

LemonLemons are another great stimulant to the Solar Plexus Chakra.  Lemons are great for cleansing your body. I love to start my day with lemon water with a pinch of cayenne to help clean out my system. Lemons are great for multiple parts of your body. If you haven’t jumped on the lemon train yet, you should.

Lemons are a great source of Vitamin C, magnesium,  citric acid, calcium, phosphorus, and potassium. Lemons can help fight acne and wrinkles, help your eyesight, and can even act as an antibacterial.

Watermelon:

Watermelon stimulates your Sacral Plexus Chakra, which sits right underneath your belly button.

The Sacral Plexus Chakra also rules over your sexual desires. Watermelon contains an amino acid called citrulline, which relaxes and dilates blood vessels.  Many people consider watermelon to stimulate your sex drive because of this reason, and would also stimulate your Sacral Plexus Chakra.

Watermelon is also packed full of Vitamin C, Vitamin A, Potassium, Magnesium, Vitamins B1, B5 and B6, and not to mention H2O!

Blueberries:

Blue

Blueberries help stimulate your Throat Chakra.

If you feel social anxiety, shyness, dental problems,  chronic sore throat, neck pain, stubbornness, detachment, fear of speaking, or inhibited creativity, your Throat Chakra might be blocked.

Blueberries have a rich dark blue color, which is the same color of the Throat Chakra, which is why the fruit is linked to this Chakra. The Throat Chakra is stimulated by liquids in general and also fruits that grow on trees. Remember: Just because food is blue doesn’t mean it will help stimulate your chakra, don’t go drinking bottles and bottles of blue Gatorade.. it has to be natural foods for your natural body!

Blueberries can also help lower the total amount of cholesterol in the blood, and are full of Vitamin B6, fiber, folate potassium, Vitamin C, Vitamin B6 and antioxidants.
