 Romantic Chic

Life has been so incredibly busy for me between work, and moving into a new apartment. Lately I have been turning to go-to items for outfitting myself, and things I can quickly pair together. This pair of chinos has been one of my staples for some time now. They are incredibly comfortable, but still fabulous. Instead of going with the classic khaki chino, I chose a pair with a little pop of color. Pink is romantic and dainty, and adds a little something more than a khaki would. It almost acts as a neutral color in my wardrobe though, because it matches with more than you could imagine.

I chose to outfit these with a printed Banana Republic top that I happen to have luckily found while thrifting. The cream color really compliments the pink coloring of the pant, and adds to that romantic feel of the look. The print is not too bold, but adds just a little something to the outfit. This top is wonderful too because it is so lightweight, I don’t have to worry about the Florida heat getting to me.

Because the rest of the look is so muted, I decided to add some jewels to elevate the outfit a bit.  A great piece of jewelry can quickly completely transform an outfit.  This J.Crew necklace is one of my favorite pieces in my collection. The purple and mauve colors really  pair quite nicely with the rosey color of the chinos.

This pant has really become an essential piece of my wardrobe… I MIGHT just have to get them in another color! Anthropologie just came out with a couple of new colors too, if you’re interested in checking them out.
